Lucas was born to Daniel and Sarah McCulloch- two immigrants from Scotland. He always knew he wanted to be in the army. Ever since he was little he longed for the day when he could proudly serve his country. He joined at eighteen, and has loved every minute of it. He has no regrets, even though there are things that he doesn’t like about the army. He has seen so much in the world, and he has made so many friends. He misses his wife and family every day, but he knows he’ll always come home.

+ how do you feel about your husband's job: I love that my husband has a job that keeps everyone safe, but sometimes I just wish he could be home all the time. When I got married, I never thought I’d be practically raising a child on my own. However, I am very supportive of him and his job.

+ bio/character study: Irina was born in the small town of Lewisburg, WV. As a child she always wanted to get married and raise the perfect family, but she never thought she’d fall in love with a soldier. She loves her husband with all of her heart, but she misses him like crazy. If you ask her what the best feeling in the world is, she would tell you that it’s seeing your husband right after he comes home from his deployment. She has one daughter- Miranda- and another child on the way. She loves her family, and she is happy it’s growing, but she constantly worries. Sometimes it’s difficult for her to focus on her job. At first she would spend her free time glancing at the phone every few seconds, waiting for a call. Now she is learning to take every day as a blessing, and be happy with what she has right now.
